    Advantage

That's because the discussion took a turn early on. A turn that I didn't want to get involved in. Attack you personally: You're attacking thousands of people with your every post. The ignorance and self-righteousness that spills out of you is actually quite worrying. I haven't played for two...

    Advantage

You're on the fence? A grassroots "referee" belittling the grassroots community at any given opportunity? I suggest you get down from that fence and stare at it for a while. You often have a good and viable input on these threads... I'll be honest, to read that a few of you agree to this...

    Advantage

If you think padfoot is right... you are an absolute joke. To even adopt the same mentality as him is Ridiculous. Everything he has said ridicules the players in which you and I are going to officiate throughout the majority of our refereeing careers. How the hell do you lot agree with...

    Advantage

I find the lack of respect for the players that pay our match fees quite disturbing! As a player myself in a grassroots team, I find it disturbing that one day I could have a referee with such a crap attitude officiate a game in which I'm playing in. When reffing, I play advantage where I can...

France v England, Penalty 46th minute

I think that is when we will see the more benefits. Fabregas's and Costa's slaps last season along with a few Fellaini elbows... It will save a lot of hassle. Video AR will see it and bring it to the attention of the referee.

France v England, Penalty 46th minute

@Peter Grove Protocol needs to change. That would be the only way to stop the referee running off the field. The France and England game just goes to show how the system should work. The referee makes a decision based on the facts... the facts (that this was a red card offence) can be seen time...

France v England, Penalty 46th minute

I saw this earlier. He's bloody deluded

France v England, Penalty 46th minute

My point was based on the fact there is a fourth official there, closer to the screen. Instead of the referee running off the field to review an incident, let the fourth official do it, actually give him/her some purpose!! The only part I believe is flawed is when the referee runs off the...

France v England, Penalty 46th minute

Red. Could be seen as harsh, but the laws are clear on this. Such a better use of the VAR, that's how it should be. The 4th official is qualified to referee the game in the event of the match referee becoming injured... he/she is more than competent to make the correct call.

    Referee Bag

@Ross has some good kit bags (organisers) on his website. I put my kit and accessories in there. I've got an old Nike bag that I then put that in with my boots and flags etc

I've just bought this https://www.proreferee.com/spintso-referee-pda/ Does what the smart watch does, works in the rain and won't crash on me.

    RefLive

@Ross firstly thank you for my upgraded organiser, I only opened it yesterday (not long got back from the Middle East) I see you are advertising RefLive. Have you used it? Is it any good? I've used two apps already which have been rubbish. This one any better?

    Thoughts.....

I was thinking "Why is everyone saying red card, the lad only tripped the guy over".... didn't see the timer

I thought it would be dissent-only nationally for the first season?!?
  17. DB

    Thoughts.....

Ohh hang on.... Yep, I was talking about the sin-bin challenge at the start of the five minute mark. :redcard: Friendly or not, that is a definite red card! Referee has completely shunned his responsibilities there. Bloody sin bin for that?!? His leg could have divorced his knee there!!!
  18. DB

    Thoughts.....

Am I the only one that sees this as just a trip/kick out? It's not excessive in the slightest. Yellow card perfectly warranted but it's not a red card offence. Maybe it's the way I'm looking at it, but it certainly doesn't tick the boxes of a red card offence for me. As for the referee, he just...
