Not quite correct. Our leagues down here pay a referee appointments fee to the County FA, who then assign referees to our games.

@Padfoot I'm not going to say too much about it because you never know what snakes are lurking about on these forums. The previous RDO has since gone on to open his own academy/training centre thing.

I agree James. The thing is, The county FA's have them purely for the referee courses :(

Peter, you've contradicted yourself; "If a player, while correctly taking a free kick, intentionally kicks the ball..." that clearly states that it is a dead ball situation and not open play. This is more so aimed at a free kick situation where a defending player doesn't retreat quickly enough...

I agree with you; nothing frustrates me more than a centre circle referee, even when I'm playing I find it frustrating... But as a referee, I wouldn't give a fellow colleague stick on the field or the sideline. A quick chat during the half-time break or after the game will help you come across...

I am personally not a fan of jeering referees from the sidelines. You must know how it feels when the spectators are questioning your ability from the sidelines... You've done the same to this guy. My advice is instead of shouting from the sidelines at the guy, have a quiet word with him after...

I am not just talking about the advantage situation. On pretty much every thread, you always have something to say about those who you officiate. You ridicule them. You belittle them and you make out that you are better than them. It pisses me off! You obviously don't know a thing about the game...
