Interesting - brutality no, but excessive force, think you could argue it was. Genuine question - you're using the same criteria for an object or the ball being thrown as a punch, honestly hadn't thought of it that way - is that 'official training guidance' - if I can put it that way...

Just after I qualified I had one of the instructors on my course on the line for a youth match I was in the middle for - she was quite happy to just follow the normal CAR process, although, as it was only my 3rd or 4th qualified middle, I did feel a little intimidated!

Interesting clip. Surely that should be a red for the red player? Also, in theory, could you not play advantage, only HAVE to stop play if the 2nd ball "interferes", and then go back and caution GK. I suppose you would have to be very quick to tell thrower to just carry on?

Actually saw this last week at QPR v Swansea - very rare in the professional game - back pass was underhit, so GK had no choice but to pick it up, inside the gaol area - no card (correct) and fk taken on the goal area boundary line. Of course QPR did NOT score from the fk! :rolleyes:

Its the "shouting across" bit that steps over the line for me. If everyone can hear it, then, IMHO, you have no option but to have a public word with him. Does it again and he's gone.

Despite in this clip saying all referees in the NL and EFL are rubbish?:rolleyes:

Its the usual double standards - his forward misses from 3 yards - a chance he said himself was "easier to score than miss" but then he laughs it off - no rant about the quality of forward play in the whole football pyramid there!:rolleyes:

Just watched the 7 min highlights. Obviously at this level its only 1 camera angle so view not great 1st pen (and red card) - maybe went down easily and could have been sold as as an attempt for the ball and b) there was another defender close by. 2nd pen - Its a pen! 3rd goal - Not even close...

Depends on competition I think. Isthmian U18s for example - in a proper stadium, 3 of you etc etc etc Local youth league, its volunteers as ARs, park pitches etc etc etc

Not even a debate. Even at grassroots surely everyone would expect this be a goal?

VAR is a real life person, like all real life people he/she makes mistakes. Not sure why it has taken so long for that penny to drop in the football world, but some STILL don't get it!

Think was just a friendly. Isn't there a restriction on over age players in that league? QPR started with 8 over 21s - a proper B team if you like - so not sure this was a league match?
