There actually was a time not so long ago that female referees could take the course for free with only the £10 registration fee applying. There is a shortage of female referees to cover Ladies football all over Scotland which is now booming.
Images going through my mind of the tongue stud being caught in the belly piercing during a challenge, and even worse.... images with the PA involved...

I think it would have been an absolute certainty that VAR would have also given the penalty. Learned a few new things on this, so thanks to all who have replied.
Not too sure about the 9 minutes added on by the official at the end... 3 mins at a push for the substitutions. and maybe a minute for the goal then that is 5 mins of supposed time wasting/injury time. Who is it that monitors this time? Is it the fourth official or the referee?
How clear and obvious was the error of the AR when it came to the ball being in and out of play? Isn't that what VAR is there for? That it took 4 mins says it wasn't clear. The AR had the best view. He didn't give it. Leave it at that.
That something like this is needed is a sad indictment on today's game. Life bans for any player that assaults any match official in every NA sanctioned match.

I haven't counted cards, games or whatever. I think in the past season - my first I have just wanted to move on without keeping stats at what I was doing and more how I was doing. Might start though!
