New ref too... I have done about 20 games so far and been struck in about 15 of them. I don't think I have done anything different except not react quick enough and not move. So I think being static and too close is the biggest problem.
Clubs usually only want a ref as they need to pay extra for ARs. The "big" teams will usually want ARs in their games. Do you have the different colours of top to match those of the ref though?
Not entirely dead thread yet... hopefully. But just to say I wore my Adidas Kaiser Team at the weekend on Astro instead of my usual Copa Gloro FG. No sore shins the next day and the knees aren't as sore as they have been using the FG. I think there is something in using Astro boots instead...
What is the point in wearing a warm up pre-match kit and then changing into your kit for the match? Is there an actual reason for this?
Is it a necessary part of your kit that you should have?

All but 2 of my games have been on Astro/4G the amount of wee rubber bits I find everywhere is a testament to that. I've always been sore after every game but not to the extent of injury. Grass pitches are a luxury these days but have to say I have felt better after a grass pitch game. I...
Basically was assigned the game - name was on the website as being the referee and my contact details sent to the clubs. Unless I am told otherwise then I am the referee. I don't want to steal the OP query so I think yeah I could have done more to confirm on my side, but is it really just up...
