    U15 Tier 1 Bad Match

Sorry you had a tough game mate, I referee women's football pretty much exclusively and even at Tier 3/4 you still get a lot more complaining about this kind of contact compared to the men's game. Just trust your judgement and the laws :) Petulance from a grown man aimed at a child (not to...

    Refereeing S.Housery

Ran a women's national league line last weekend - team battling relegation vs a mid table side. A quirk of the ground is the benches are like 20 yards apart, so I'm only ever in front of the away dugout. As I look down the line in the other half I give a defensive throw to the home team - cue...

    "It's not a fashion show!"

I meant nails ;) I also have the purple top - used only for kit clashes!

    "It's not a fashion show!"

I wear purple to WNL games I do to stop me biting them and I’m amazed I’ve never had a single comment from anyone

    "It's not a fashion show!"

Yeah I buy into this, I spent silly money on the UEFA approved wrist band with the coin zip for this reason - having the coin loose or with my AR just didn’t feel right. No logic behind it at all and cheaper alternatives didn’t look as good!

My question exactly! I did see a few CFA's got them in for County Cup Final officials

    "It's not a fashion show!"

Title of this thread is my fave comment on this forum - we really do not need the newest kit or the flashiest equipment to look the part and be great referees. But what are the most 'luxury' buys you've seen? Inspired by AH introducing personalised Whistles recently!

When to get involved for SFP as AR

I did come in on SFP this weekend but had a total brain fart and didn't get the number of the offending player - asked the ref if he had the number and he didn't so it looked really **** that I called him over for a stamp and nothing happened. If you're going to come in, have all the details

    Cup Final Appointments

Loads of factors and importantly: There are a maximum of 4 roles per final and probably up to 100 referees at least who could be eligible in some way or another. I was 4th on the women's county cup final last season and I'm in the middle this season, I've put that down in part to my promotion...

Missed stamp - Laverstock v Portland

I've refereed this side in various forms (Sundays, Res etc) and they're a bloody pain in the arse on the pitch. But the club itself are a credit to the community and I noted they hadn't gone in at the officials despite, arguably, being entitled to be a bit miffed.
