    Lightning

Currently sat in my car on minute 7 of a lightning delay - reset two minutes ago so another 28 to go! Besides the tolerance of teams and myself - is there a maximum time I can wait before abandoning?

    AR yesterday

I find reading the game is a big part of it. You can usually tell with half a seconds notice that a ball is going to be played forward, enough time to crab a yard or two so you're bang in line. You can also learn what the back line is likely to do in different scenarios to pre-empt an offside...

When does an injured player have to leave the field?

If the physio comes in - for me that’s treatment and they have to go off. I’ve always been told that they need to leave the field ASAP to receive that treatment. From IFAB A player who is assessed and/or treated on the pitch must then leave the pitch, except when: the injured player is a...

When does an injured player have to leave the field?

Any player who receives treatment must leave the field with the exception of the goalkeeper or if fouled by a challenge that results in a sanction

    Leeds v Everton

But surely the interpretation of the term “moving towards the ball” is the arm or hand moving independently of the body or in an action we do not normally expect from that footballing action. If not there, where do we expect an arm to be when leaning to block a shot or cross?

    Leeds v Everton

Okay I’ve never been advised or seen guidance that moving a hand or arm towards the ball includes whole body movement. If it does we have a lot of penalties to go back and award at PL level. Please share that if it exists but that’s a terrible interpretation if so.

    Leeds v Everton

Of course it is! I mean really what is the acceptable position if not pinned to his side like this?

    Leeds v Everton

Behind doesn't necessarily mean closer fwiw, Lewis Dunk was penalised for putting an arm behind his body after the ball slipped under him from a cross and hit it. So even that wasn't considered a natural position. We have put players in a position where they feel they cannot win!

    Liverpool Vs Bournemouth

This is my bad, the only angle I'd seen makes that defender look MUCH closer!

    Leeds v Everton

I just don't like that the law means Tarkowski would've been fine if he'd flung his arm out but is punished for keeping it as close to his body as possible!

    Leeds v Everton

I'm being nice here - I don't know what you're talking about. if his arm was limp it would be further out. Cannot get more natural!

    Liverpool Vs Bournemouth

I think they missed the handball but it's not DOGSO so VAR shouldn't be getting involved no? Control is questionable, distance even more so, defenders as well as there is another not far away.

    Man Utd v Arsenal

Didn't watch the whole game so now clue about the overall performance but I thought a potential penalty missed late on... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/c776d3e5e67t 05:40 above for UK viewers. As the ball lands at Cunha's feet I feel Saliba goes through the back of him - no...

    Youth games

They're copying what they see from adults - except these lot will fold immediately under pressure. I sent one off for calling me a f*cking pr*ck and he burst in to tears... guess he'd not heard of OFFINABUS
