its also the first impression the crowd get of the officials, and most of the players ...
we've been categorically told by the CFA Chairman that he expects socks to be pulled up, boots immaculate - and the shirts tucked in bit for the warm up isn't a problem as we have got to wear our Nike warm...
That's interesting from a level 4 @Darius - considering your level puts you out with NAR's on a weekly basis ... lets flip it so you are the ref and one of your AR's goes out with socks' rolled down for the warm up ...
do you ask him then to kindly pull up his socks?
ooo when in April? mines on the 9th April in sunny Canvey Island! so I'm hoping it will be a sunny affair also.
oh really? awesome! I haven't done anymore 'greens' recently, no - although I know they are having a mare currently, shame.
Shirt, , blazer, trousers, CFA tie ... no jeans/chinos/tracksuit
I HATE officials turning up for a senior game in jeans and chinos thinking that's smart! the 'worst' thing I do occasionally is wear my midlayer top over my shirt and tie and under my blazer
This is such a shame to English football ... its also made me think that Clattsy has lost the race to be the best referee in English history - Webb takes the title still for me ... shame, but the money has obviously attracted him like it does the players
@zarathustra @PinnerPaul - congrats to you both ... I have already my evening which sounded very similar (although same as @zarathustra we didn't find out until the evening what game or capacity) great evenings, we had Anthony Taylor planned to do a speech, but he was given the Tottenham/Wes...
As everyone has pretty much said @GraemeS - you did everything correct, except the only thing I would do is a nice big arms out and 'ADVANTAGE!! ... number 2 I'll be coming back for you!'
have you tried the ones myself @James Long and @Ross have suggested @GraemeS ??
all same basic idea, they are much better than the ones you have suggested IMO as the lanyard stays secure around your wrist - have the wrist strap and lanyard as 2 separate pieces works well

these are the bad boys ... I love them! fits securely around your wrist and allows the whistle to just 'hang' when booking etc
