    Brentford v Wolves

Mis-phrased as they said challenged, not tackled.

    Brentford v Wolves

Been trying to find a video of it. VAR apparently said it was a challenge which is why it wasn't looked further. He looked at the keeper, shaped his body for the pass, was challenged in the mean time but deliberately kicked the ball to the keeper. No doubt about it.

    Brentford v Wolves

Hate to be that guy but how the officials missed the absolute back pass that led to the Wolves goal before half time. Not sure how VAR couldnt get involved. Keeper picks ball up from back pass, plays it to defender, gets it back and then sets the attack going. HT analysis says VAR called it a...

    PAL v LEE

Probably but I also dont see how that should be a factor. If an offence is worthy of a card, give the card.

    WHU v Brentford

There is chat among Brentford fans that by not giving the first penalty, which was clear, and not giving the 2nd one on Schade that if VAR had to intervene for that one that would really undermine his game/authority. By potentially not giving 2 penalties, that in my opinion should have been (at...

    WHU v Brentford

Summer ville, on a yellow, commits that foul and no further action?!

    WHU v Brentford

I was thinking that but didnt want to be the one asking that question.

    WHU v Brentford

What gets me is how VAR gives that penalty, but says no to the reckless tackle on Schade at the other end. Studs straight on his foot even if a glancing touch of the ball. We all know getting the ball is not something that means no foul has occurred.

    WHU v Brentford

Dont understand how Madley hasn't given that penalty in real time.. I'm starting to agree with McCoist here saying that some refs are relying on VAR. Take that away, think Madley is actually having a good game.

    Munster v Hertha

Are they still used in stadiums in Brazil? Think i recall hearing about personnel entering the VAR room in a game. Edit.. found it...

    Most red cards

Judging by Flashscore, they were all off the pitch. But cant imagine all of them were.

    Most red cards

What is your most red cards in a single game? Think mine stands at 5, where 3 of them were second yellows (and 2 literal leg breaks, straight reds, and 2 of the 2nd yellows coming from the 2nd leg break melee). Dont think ive hit 6. But could anyone beat 23? This is what happened in Brazil last...

    Munster v Hertha

Had to happen eventually.. Munster fans pull the plug on VAR screen just before half time so the ref couldn't see a potential penalty against them. So they made the decision in Cologne (where the Germans hold their VAR rooms). Silly thing is, surely if VAR have called them to the screen its...

    Newcastle v Man City

Pep got, probably rightfully, carded for what I assume was dissent following non awarded of a free kick in the middle of the pitch. But around the 80th minute of so, Lewis Hall feels he got fouled on the touch line and screams at the ref, throws both hands in disgust on the ground and does not...

    Keeper Injury/Tactic Talk

I recall a video of a youth game somewhere around the world where I think the ref restarted play and a kid (may have been thr keeper!) ran entire length of pitch to score. Now, I dont recall it touching another player before he ran off with it and scoring but everyone was on the sidelines.

    Keeper Injury/Tactic Talk

Issue with that is... whats the restart? Is the restart with the team who are currently getting instructions? So you wait. As the poster said above, when at low lever/grassroots, the tactical part may seem funny as its just very basic stuff. But in the professional game, so many things go...

    Keeper Injury/Tactic Talk

Seems to me that this injury trick occurred in at least 3 matches tonight. Leeds v Sunderland Port Vale v Bristol City Rotherham v Mansfield Then you've got players going down with head injuries in penalty areas that actually dont have head injuries but force game to be stopped AND they...

SkySports reporting of the proposed new IFAB laws

I think they should have also looked at "head" injuries. I put it in quotes as plenty of players across all levels go down in the area, defensively, claiming head injury when they've not even been touched near the head (just look at Maguire, although not in the area). Personally, any player...

    Burnley v Brentford

I agree. I wouldn't want to see it. But as someone watching, whether a fan or not, I want to see consistency in the same match on decisions, and that includes silly things like throws.
