I dont like the way some refs now deal with feigning injuries. It is becoming like some other IFAB punishment introductions where it makes referees hesitant to call the offence (caution for some keeper encroachment).
It is not frequent but this pattern is creeping in. Player feigns injury to waste time. Ref doesn't stop play because otherwise he has to exclude player for 1 minute. At next stoppage time is wasted to assess (by the referee) "if the player wants" a physio. Player doesnt want it but getting up and getting the games started wastes more time and player achieved his goal.
There is a good example of this in the second half added time of this game. 1 minute was wasted dealing with a cramp. Player actually had to come off. This was real cramp but if player could have walked, he would have been allowed to stay IMO.
Immediately after the restart a 'head injury' (feigned IMO) wasted another minute. He was not treated and from what I could see player stayed on. It also allowed for time to lapse for the other player off the field to come back on. There was only one extra minute added to added time.
