Corner changed to a goal kick because there was an offside in the build-up...
Unless I'm thinking of a different situation it was surely turned into a goal kick because they had made a mistake in awarding the corner? An understandable mistake, but VAR corrected it very quickly.

Sorry was going off Dale Johnson post. Seen it now.

A corner was awarded, but then about 20 seconds later as they were lining up to take the corner they gave offside.

The on field decision wasn't offside. The actual offside looks tight, number 11 below. Suggestion is that VAR has got involved to give the offside.

If VAR, an error. But could be slow SAOT?
If an offside is missed by the assistant during play then VAR isn't supposed to intervene unless it's a goal, or penalty.

There is a bleep signal for clear offsides. In an instance like there probably wouldn't have been a bleep as it may be tighter than the 10 cm parameter and another attacker was in an offside position

The suggestion is that there was a muddying of the waters with VAR classing it as an incorrect corner kick because of offside in the build-up.

Dale Johnson saying that a corner can be overturned for any factual errors in the build-up to the corner.

Offside, ball out of play etc.
