Not a criticism, but why do you need a whistle that was designed for stadium use at grass roots? It is notoriously difficult to vary the tone of the blast with it, I had an observer tell me it sounded like I was trying to stop a train every time I gave a free kick. For me it's Fox 40 sonik blast.
It just does the job. I've had the expensive one but didn't like it.
Because i like it.Not a criticism, but why do you need a whistle that was designed for stadium use at grass roots? It is notoriously difficult to vary the tone of the blast with it, I had an observer tell me it sounded like I was trying to stop a train every time I gave a free kick.
Fair enough, can't argue with that. I bought one but just couldn't get to grips with it and abandoned it after a couple of games, I couldn't vary the tone and everything sounded like a serious offence.Because i like it.
I must say this is why I like the valkeen, soooo easy to vary the tones etcFair enough, can't argue with that. I bought one but just couldn't get to grips with it and abandoned it after a couple of games, I couldn't vary the tone and everything sounded like a serious offence.
Start as you mean to go onoccasionally I start a half like I'm giving a last minute penalty
Blew it behind a player on Sunday and she goes "**** that's loud!"Start as you mean to go on![]()
Have you tried Valkeen (genuine, not the copy)?Whistle is something I hugely struggle with. I can't whistle naturally (not sure if this is related or not) and I can't get on with a lot of whistles. My coach tells me my whistle is sh*t, but I just can't improve it so I have to accept it's always gonan be a bit sh*t I reckon.
I use the sonik blast as it's the easiest for me to get a strong whistle out of.
Yeah, I used it for a few months and then sent it to @OnlyUseMeWhistleHave you tried Valkeen (genuine, not the copy)?

If you hven’t tried it, try the Fox mini. The mini is is easy to vary and easy to blast. I find it smaller and more comfortable than the classic. (I hated the sonic blast for the same reasons others have said—I found it very difficult to “talk” with.)Whistle is something I hugely struggle with. Aside: During COVID in the U.S., there were places that mandated the use of those electronic whistles you “blow” by pushing a button so that refs, like the players, could wear masks.
