Moving to B&B FA - leagues?

Hi all,

I'm new around here so hopefully posted in the right 'category'!

I'm moving up from the coast and changing parent FAs to Berks & Bucks from January, currently on my 6-5 (just need an observation). Just wondering for those with this FA which leagues I can expect to officiate on/register with? Also what are match fees like in the area?

As far as I'm aware, Combined Counties lines and Thames Valley Prem etc would be the first port of call? Is the county pretty flush with level 5s and will I struggle for lines etc on the CCFL?

Thanks in advance!

From my experience you’ll get lines on the CCFL if you are able to provide them with a couple of Saturdays a month. They have U23s and U18s you can middle on too

I’m at the north end of BBFA’s geographical spread so work the Spartan and North Bucks leagues predominantly.

Although reading Thames Valley and Combined Counties I suspect you’re much further south than I am. Depending on your exact locale you could also pick up Hellenic League Divison 2 games for middles.

You’re also joining at the time of the season where the County Cups start using 3 officials. There are 2 Saturday cups for teams at Step 7 and below of the football pyramid which are approaching the Quarter Final stage so a good chance to get lines there. Also look at the Southern Region Women’s football league to bolster your games.

I'm Herts so wouldn't know too much about B&B
Plenty of lines available on CCFL though. And a handful of middles in Div 2 for Promotion folk
AR Fees are £48 Prem and £44 Div 1 as I recall. £50 for Div 2 middles

You could, if you have availability for it, put yourself on both the TV league and the CCFL as long as you don't put the same date as available to both. For example put week 1 & 3 for TV league, 2 & 4 for the CCFL. Or even with Hellenic.

CCFL were great with me.
Gave me middles when doing my promotion too in the youth leagues they have. One testing game gave me top marks towards my promotion.
