Being an appointments officer is a thankless and almost impossible role. They will generally try to look after people based on their requirements, but this isn’t always possible- you can only please some of the people some of the time, not all of the people all of the time; a bit like refereeing itself.

I’d be very surprised if it was in some way discrimination.

At the end of the day, no one can force you to referee a particular game/club/league. But on the flip side you can’t force yourself into a particular fixture.

With respect, you shouldn't be proving a case on here, and even mentioning it here could prejudice any case you may raise.

You need to raise any concerns with your county FA.

Hopefully you report it with all the appropriate evidence and you get the correct outcome as individuals need to raise this stuff to stamp it out.

What I dont get to do (surely a small gain) is no official match return. Of course if an officially appointed ref turns up 11th hour I would have to step aside but then im involved coaching!

Sorry you’re having to go through this mate. I can’t pretend to understand being discriminated against but also not naive enough to believe it doesn’t exist. Hang in there and try not to let the buggers get you down.
