The Ref Stop

Boots.... again

The Ref Stop
Couldn't cope with the Skechers, so bought some New Balance 442 V2 Pro FG boots. Loving them already, so lightweight too.

I’m wearing a different type of shoe called an Under Armour Yard Turf. These are designed for baseball players on turf, but they are actually like running shoes with a turf sole. I wear these in the middle on 4G (we are allowed in the US) and on hard natural surfaces. They have very good Achilles support.

I swear by ASICS for running (which is a shame because all of the rest of my gear is under armour), but I always wear boots for refereeing.

As a daily running shoe, the ASICS Novablast 4s are a dream. Hard to find them in a size 9 in any sort of decent colour mind.
I ordered the ASICS Gel Lethal 19 boots from Australia last year, after suffering multiple foot/calf/shin issues during matches. They're the most comfortable I've ever worn. Get a few comments about them as they look a bit odd (doesn't help that I've got big feet anyway and they make them look even bigger!) but totally worth it.

As everyone would expect, the "lethal" version is exclusive to Australia :D
Really not sure why ASICS do that, surely there'd be demand elsewhere?! Thankfully online shopping and international shipping exist - I ordered them on Sportitude (who don't seem to have any boots now), someone else I know got them on Ebay.

I meant it in a totally different way but this may also be true :)
