There is a lot to see in these highlights! The package on YouTube misses a lot so I've linked to iPlayer instead.
  • Two offences in quick succession for the same player, but only one caution leading to player being subbed off at 19 mins
  • Player kicked on the floor with no disciplinary action against the kicker
  • Three correct VAR interventions

The Ref Stop
I think had the player not been cautioned be gets another there. Looks reckless to me.
Surprised no action taken, it's at least a yellow card, mitigation is I do at least think he is trying to kick the ball.
Agree on the VAR interventions.

Couple of other points noted, he shows the player the red card but carries on walking with it aloft. Just looked strange as at one point be showing the card to no on in particular.

I'm sure there was a reason but was strange to see the referee adopt the position he did at the corner where the goal was ruled out. Ironically that was probably the best position to identify the high boot but VAR had to step in and correctly rule it out.

Last thing is we are not far off a kit clash here.

VAR not calling the Rooney VC is right up there for worst non decisions you'll see.
The very definition of VC.
