Wow. That call by the AR is going to be spoken about should Forest not win/go up.

For those not watching - striker played through 1v1, goes wide - clipped by keeper, whistle goes you think for a penalty but it’s actually for an offside. Replays show clearly on.

Was quite a late flag as well IMO.

One might say Stuart Atwell has been quite lenient so far. To his credit he's trying to let the game flow, but maybe has let a little bit much go..

Took 81 minutes to find his cards, then it looked like every foul would result in a card!

I watched the first half and thought Atwell was poor. There were a lot of fouls he should have whistled and his one proper advantage was terrible.

The offside pen appeal was tight but also never a pen.

I also thought the officials poorly handled the blood injury. The player was allowed back on with a bloody shirt and repeatedly allowed back on having not had proper treatment e.g. an actual bandage.

Never a pen? Thought it was a stonewaller personally...


Anyway, get back to sweating on the champions league 😀
 
I’d been impressed with Stuart Atwell this season but I thought he bought into the occasion too much in this game. I can understand that he was trying to let it flow but it really became guess work as a viewer as to what was going to be a foul or not towards the end and the decisions almost became random from the outside looking in
