I think you’ve done the right thing……my only piece of advice would to report the coach as this is a safeguarding issue if the manager felt he could talk like this in front of children. This is my day job and it’s a concern where the kids pick up on these things.
This season I sent a 12yr to the...
I did my course last December and the one think they didn’t go through is the admin. Each league is slightly different and so once you choose which one, talk to the appointment secretary about their expectations on the match returns. None of this was explained to us and I found out by trial and...
I’m a bit late to thread but hopefully you are starting to feel at ease with the more games you do. I’ve just done my first season and share the same thoughts as you after the course. Link in with a local RA….it took me a few attempts to find one but im so glad I’ve done so because I’ve got to...

I’m a new ref and I am finding it particularly common for players to ask me how much longer ref. That’s not a problem as I will say about 10/20 mins etc. I will also get it from the coaches/managers too…. I am wondering what the thoughts are of people who have been doing this longer?
Im also on that learning curve and I would suggest joining your local RA group….they are there for support, continual training and learning from others experience. Best of luck.
