    Middlesbrough sending off

Endangering safety of opponent for me so red. Sadly gives Mr Warnock another reason to deflect attention from his side's less than spectacular start to the season.

    Strangest thing you've seen

Long story involving a colour clash which I won't repeat, but finding a set of shirts on our (the officials) changing room floor was pretty odd!

    Referee Retention - Open Letter

I think the fees will follow market forces. Almost daily emails now from County requesting referees, the ones that are taking the mick with fees, just won't get a ref - simple. There was one recently that 'offered' £25 each for 3 back to back Under 17s - that's just not on in my opinion, but no...

or goalkeepers for taking 7 seconds to release the ball! ;) I actually would send off in the scenario described. 1st U12s game for me in a long while next Sunday - Its a county cup match. Surely if you are entering that, then you have to expect LOTG to apply?

    Referee Retention - Open Letter

Must have had requests for at least 10 games today and 10 tomorrow sent out from County FA. Womens National Reserve League Middle tomorrow and an Under 23s line on Thursday evening, my next two. Rusty's point a good one, should have just about enough fuel to get to/from Thursday's game which...

We agree!;) Tried to look up a few and very hard to find out what they did before refereeing. Did Michael Oliver work at all for example, bearing in mind he started at 14 and his rapid thereafter? I DID find out that Roger East used to sweep the floors at his family's company, but rose to be...

You're at it again, how can a postman, for example, not be considered to have a responsible job - by anyone's criteria?

    Stoke City v Barnsley

What actually started it? It was 1-1 and although Stoke had 10 men they were at home, so which side was 'wasting time'?

GK "blocked view" - Brighton v Leicester

For the 2nd one I can only think that angles/views available to the VAR, Ref and AR have fooled them - he's no where near the GK nor in his line of vision.

    Brighton v Leicester

Sorry! Another thread started I missed - "Are you blind ref!?":p

    Brighton v Leicester

Can see why penalty was given but clearly the defender was being held. Leicester's 2 offside 'goals' - 1st one OK, you can 'sell' the fact attacker is line of sight of GK (just!) but the 2nd one defies belief - can only think angles available to VAR and ref and AR have fooled them because...

Also you might upset a few posties, Asda and McDonalds staff by labelling them not 'responsible'

So as the EFL/PL officials ARE employed, you agree that employment law DOES apply then? I'll answer that myself - it does, which is why the automatic retirement age had to be dropped. I agree its hypothetical and won't happen, but in 2021 you can't legally have a position where 'Natalie' can...

    Stoke City v Barnsley

I was being a little flippant, nightmare to work out who did what to whom when something like that happens.
