    MOT vs CEL

Not really surprised the decision has been backed because it's very much a Scottish/European handball where they keep it simple of if the arm is above the head and it hits the hand then it's handball, no ifs buts or maybes. I did rise smile at Collum's comments of virtually disputing the KMI...

    Manchester City v Aston Villa

Noticed on a few of the tight offsides in the last round that they are using a red outline to make it clear which part of the body is offside which could come useful in other situations. I know it can look ridiculous but you can't argue with it especially as the PL has the 5cms of tolerance...

    Cremonese v Como

Is it though? In Europe, an opponent kicking the foot of the opposition always gets reviewed if the ref has not given it, it's soft and wouldn't be given in this country but I don't think they will say it's wrong.

    Cremonese v Como

It's a European penalty I say where a airkick that makes contact with an opponents foot will always be given in most European leagues but not in the PL (after the outrage in the Brighton Liverpool game a few seasons back). As for the red cards for players saying something out of turn then it's...

    Arsenal/Burnley

Sympathy for the VAR here as it's one of those the ref has got such a good view and given a yellow, it will just feel like re refereeing. It's not the most forceful challenge but it is high and it's from behind with no attempt for the ball.

    MUN v NFO

Yet again Webb cares more about the clubs and stakeholders of the game than the actual laws, whilst i think disallowing the goal would of been more the right decision, I'm not a referee and nor are the clubs and this is a really subjective decision where Salisbury rejecting the review is not...

    MUN v NFO

That's the thing, the VAR thinks it's intentional therefore recommending a review whilst the ref think it's accidental and that's the grey area and probably why handball incidents are the most likely cases of when we will see a referee rejecting a review. I'm not sure the referee using the word...

    MUN v NFO

Reading the BBC sport text feed it's amusing that people have texted in saying it's the VAR fault for the decision. It really is clear if your totally against something, it clouds your judgment of it. Then you got some guy from the athletic blaming the VAR because the right decision was to...

    MUN v NFO

In truthness I think it's very subjective but the goal being disallowed feels more the correct outcome however I suspect because it's Man United, we will hear a huge uproar instead of praising the ref for sticking with his decision which is what people want too see more of.

    Celtic - Hearts

Only the linesman will know why he flagged, maybe he just had a brainfart in such an pressurised environment(it possibly one of his biggest games in his career) but wow, just imagine if there was no VAR in Scotland and that happened.

    MOT vs CEL

It's not the speed of the review I have an issue with, it's they only seemed to show it from one angle which is not fully conclusive. If they had a side on angle which was shown to the ref and it hits his hand then more people would accept the decision. I do think though alot of the fury is...

    Spurs Vs Leeds

Not heard of getting a toe on the ball? I would agree it would be a penalty if he went through the player and then got a toe on the ball but he plays the ball first then takes down Maddison. Very fine margins though and it's an excellent decision by Gillett seeing that touch on the ball in...

    Arsenal v Newcastle

Watching the mic'd up show and the potential DOGSO from Pope was covered and what I found interesting is this seems a good example of where I feel assistant referees are acting more like referees and basically telling the referee what the sanction should be. For me, it should be let the referee...

    West Ham v Arsenal

The thing that stands out for me is the referee says nothing(so clearly didn't see it) yet he was static in the same spot, maybe it's just me but could his positioning could be better? Could this be a consequence we got VAR in the background so the term "lazy refereeing" comes into the media...

    Spurs Vs Leeds

Darlow almost ran out of time again I noticed not long afterwards. I do have to ask though, how can Gillett view the penalty at the monitor and not think the penalty for a boot to the head is not a yellow card(at least) I will never know.
