    The only way it should ever be considered is if it is an exchange programme, that being said why would the PGMO stop the progress of their own referees for those that haven't an understanding of the English game? It's always been a nonsense argument in my eyes.

    If people really want European refs, they also want European VAR. I'm not sure that's too outrageous to assume & VAR make up the refereeing team too, the referee can stick to his guns if he wanted to (he didn't). The referee got both these right on field in my mind, but European refereeing...

    For me, yes. Neither clear and obvious in my book. First I see the argument but the player is still wide and the angle is getting ever tighter. Second they should never get involved, ankle breaker.

    Seems to be controversial based on others views, I just don't see a red card here. Context and empathy for the game state is important and its clearly a player chasing the game wanting to get on with it who's got a little over eager. Yellow has the desired effect and Red is completely overboard...
