I don't think he intentionally batted the assistants flag away, he was having a strop and his wailing arms hit it accidentally
If only the AR had cards though..
Again I'm unsure how you can class his run up as incomplete when the very next action after the feint is for him to put his planted foot next to the ball, and then strike the ball.
By definition, when is the run up judged to have ended?
I'm really unsure on calling Son's run up incomplete
He makes forward movement, stops completely (doesn't stagger) and his very next motion is to taken the PK, there is nothing between him feinting and taking the kick
Could he have gone with defensive encroachment on that penalty? Caution and disallowed goal felt harsh.
Must admit I was expecting a re-take, didn't realise it would be an IFK to the defending team. Always learn something new!
No different to how players felt when the first big eave of european players came in around 20 years ago? There shouldn't be any sentiment surrounding nationality, the best league in the world should have the best people in the middle.
Not really wanting to make this into a faux immigration...
Something Ive been wondering about lately
Is there a rule that stipulates that the top referees in the game, have to work in their country of nationality/citizenship?
With the rights of players to move around freely expanding so much in the last 20 years , I can't see how this hasn't happened...
