For me , all the forensic reviews of the Kane incident don’t change my initial thought that it looked like a penalty, smelt like a penalty and was a penalty even with the higher threshold applied to decisions in the penalty area. No VAR review was astonishing

Me too, but a few years ago now. I always looked on those appointments as a reward for the previous season’s performances. So I can safely say I’ve appeared in the FA Cup. 😉

Thanks for that. I can understand the disappointment but as many others have pointed out here and elsewhere so many more grassroots referees have always had to purchase their own kits. But with this and the increase in registration fees I’m interested to see the difference we see in the support...

Out of interest for how many seasons did the FA provide kits for those promoted?

Wait till your 66 and you now have to buy a full size more than you did when you were 40😮 and yes I have just bought some new Nike Premier size 9 🤣
