Having watched the clip without sound, it is clear that a whistle would be needed before the quick free kick is taken. However, having watched it again with audio - it's Messi who takes the free kick! Play on, all good!!! ;)

Was it this match where the referee got in the way of a player, referee gave a drop ball due to the collision. (Too many matches to be sure it was this one :)). Surely this can't be a drop ball, or has the law changed? #footballexpects
