Do any of you referee academy games ?

I’ve normally do them at Birmingham’s training ground but got it at their first team ground (St Andrews) this weekend for a middle. Far prefer it and for a young ref like myself I feel with the experienced linos or when I’m on the line the high level middles, I can learn a whole lot from it. I...

    Refereeing u11 academy game

Like mentioned above, very unlikely that you’d need to use cards but if need be then no reason not to. Above anything else, these players are here to learn and that includes the consequences of tackles and gamesmanship.

    Junior/Youth Competitive U13 fixture

Very good self reflection, like you said just take the comments on the chin whatever decision you make will annoy 11 players and the gaffer!

    for the love or money

I always charge the full amount but any friendlies that I do, I give the fee to a local food bank and 1 game a month also goes to charity. This is partly out the goodness of my heart and partly to prove to mum and dad I don’t just do it for the money.

    Secondary Ref Kit Colour

I asked a mate with Liverpool CFA who isn’t aware of any official ruling by Liverpool and he sees lots of reds in the county wearing coloured shirts but worth emailing your RDO before you start splashing out

    Next available referee course

Like you said not sure it'd work with the restrictions of only groups of 6 outside. Sure they'll figure something out and also going to be interesting how they're going to catch up the waiting list but probably easier on the fact that a large amount of content can be taught through E-learning...

    Next available referee course

We've been told 2 days of face to face courses at some point between June and August depending on government guidelines for indoor meeting and also on course availability with 100+ waiting on the course!
