This week Mark Halsey announced that he is retiring from Refereeing at the top-level. He deserves a lot of credit and respect for overcoming what he has to return back to the top flight. I hope that unlike Graham Poll and Jeff Winter he is planning to do something positive and still be involved.
Unfortunately though according to the Daily Mail he only told the FA 24 hours before it was announced he was going to be a pundit on BT Sports new channel. He also told the FA he wouldn’t have a book coming out but this is being advertised on Amazon already. I hope this is just media digging dirt and he isn’t walking away.
