If you listen to Talk Sport, you may have heard Stuart Pearce & Simon Jordan to be fair being very supportive of referees, wanting to a step change to improve respect for match officials.

Stuart questions why referees are scrutinised for KMIs when player behaviour isn't. He believes Karen Carney, Rob Green on this panel should have the power to hand out retrospective bans for dissent, simulation, feigning injury to manage the game, in his view, are all forms of cheating & are ruining the game.

Let's vote Stuart & Simon on to an influential FA position!

Please don't vote Simon Jordan into any position of power.

I listened to this live from my sunbed in Gran Canaria (sorry!). He spoke very passionately about referees and has more knowledge than anyone thought as his brother and nephew are/were referees. He even said that his brother was on the line for a cup game he was in (which presumably shouldn't have happened but never mind). It was a good listen

Brilliant from Stuart Pearce. And whatever people think about Simon Jordan, he has consistently spoken out in favour of referees since he has been on talkSPORT.

Compare this to the reaction of Jamie O'Hara on the same channel who was very defensive of Mitrovic, saying he just "lost his rag" and shouldn't get more than the standard 3 game ban. https://talksport.com/football/fa-c...=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1679387920
