Sin bin scenario

Team is down to 7 players. Their centre back then picks up his 2nd temporary dismissal. Laws says the referee must abandon the game.
Is this still the case even if the team still have a substitute they can use?

This has been mentioned in the sin bin thread. The answer is no. The game contiues, apparently.
