Referee DBS advice needed

Hi All

Currently I coach youth football and every 3 years I renew DBS through my club with is fine.

My renewal is due Sept 2022

Now that I do referring is it best that I do my DBS through FA... if so why

Or it doesn't matter?

Your county will only accept the DBS they run through their system.

I have a DBS throught my job and i also have a portable DBS, through the DBS update service, and they wont either of them.

Unless things have changed, the DBS status applies only to the specific role for which it was granted ie. having DBS as a coach, doesn't mean you're "covered" as referee. You need separate applications for both roles.
