Reason to caution

An incident from a couple of weeks ago that I keep chuckling about.

I call a player over as I've decided to caution for persistent infringement, as I ask for his name he just said "do you play football ref?" I reply "not anymore, no" he responds with "you can tell"

Talk about giving the ref a good reason to caution, no doubt the caution was well deserved after that

if you didnt like him could have booked him for original persistant infringements then 2nd for dissent

He'd already told me before the game that he's a ref.. I honestly couldn't believe it

I'd have simply asked him when he was going to attempt to play football, as he isn't so far.

Just shake your head and walk away tutting in that case, muttering something about not being able to cut it

With the number of players who claim to be referees, I'm amazed there's only 27,000 referees in England!
