North London Derby

For some reason penalties are never given if the fouled player has got their shot away before being fouled, even though if it was a pass in the centre circle it would always be given. I think this probably stems from the shot usually having gone out of play before the foul occurs, and over time it has just become the norm even when the ball remains in play.

For me this was a good and brave decision by Oliver.

On the Lamela red card I’ll also add persistent infringement to the equation. Flying into challenges, plenty of needle in his play and leaving a bit on opponents i the challenge. Add up all his fouls and it really isn’t a surprise.

Are people saying Lacazette was fouled on his left leg? He 100% kicks Sanchez with his left as can be seen at 1:40.
Sanchez's momentum then results is his making contact with Lacazette's right leg.
Lacazette then does a pathetic dive (head back, arms up, mouth open. Willem Dafoe in Platoon basically) but contact was def made.
I can accept the contact on the right leg more easily than the left leg.
Thing is, this won't be given next week for some other side.
