With all the bad press around, thought I’d share a story from today. Horrific conditions but a great game of football, couple of early dissents that away captain helped with and no more issues with either player. One caution for a handball on the floor but all players came and shook my hand, thanked me and were complimentary to me. Then both managers, a coach from the away team and 3 spectators made an effort to come and shake my hand to say how well they thought I’d reffed. Away manager ( who’s team lost) then came back again to compliment my decisions and stated how he liked how I stamped the dissent early, even though it was against his players.
