AT has looked really uncertain all game to me, I think he's struggling with consistency on the Euros-inspired higher bar on soft fouls. And the Salah incident is a classic case of it being harder to justify a dissent caution when you secretly know you probably got the call wrong and the player is right!Taylor ignored Salah's act of dissent by word and action after he mouthed off at the assistant then smashed the ball away after a foul was given against him, but as we all know, it's what we have come to expect at the highest levels.
Christ. I thought here was the one place on the Internet that would be free of the "referees haven't played the game" nonsense...If that's a handball then a deflection can never be used to NOT give a handball. About 0.000001 seconds (approx ) between the deflection and "handball".
As accidental as they come IMO.
The flick of the hand is a natural reaction when you want to get your hand out of the way. As anyone who has played at any level knows.
The natural reaction to get your hand out the way is to move it directly into the ball? The flick of the hand is a natural reaction when you want to get your hand out of the way. As anyone who has played at any level knows.

The keyword in your analogy is away. In the incident it moved towards. Even if you don't consider that deliberate, arm being in an unnatural position comes into it.Ah yes, god forbid anyone has played Sunday league. I apologize.
Ever touched a hot pan on a stove? Let me guess, your hand quickly flicked away from the pan? Hope this cooking analogy doesn't upset you as well
@QuaverRef and @one have kindly explained why this analogy is also nonsense. Third time lucky?Ah yes, god forbid anyone has played Sunday league. I apologize.

Even if he was sure after that, I’d like him just to watch a few more replays at least for show and credibilityThe keyword in your analogy is away. In the incident it moved towards. Even if you don't consider that deliberate, arm being in an unnatural position comes into it.
What I didn't like about the call was that AT only saw the screen for one second and that was a freeze frame of point of contact. Surly to determine handball you need to see more than just a point of contact.
Intrigued to know what constitutes a yellow for persistent infringement these days. 3 fairly clinical fouls by Fabinho with no intent to play the ball and yet still no card!
