Got a call last night to change my cup fixture from one that looked pretty easy on paper to one that looked tasty.
Both teams (from different leagues, both of which I cover) have a reputation of playing the game right on the edge of fairness and both are seen as really niggly and complaining. However both are right up at the top of their respective leagues.
Game lived up to expectations, both teams bleating about every decision, however in between there was some good football played and we got a result in normal time.
Overall felt pretty good on two counts, firstly that with the appointment sec knowing both teams well he asked me to cover the game - knowing that it wouldn't be an easy one and secondly that despite the niggle and needle in the game I kept a lid on it and felt like I had a good game!
