Today's game was brilliant,
A challenge went in and was a good one so it went a bit like this.
Ball goes out of play,
Player, Ref why did you no blow the whistle?
Me, because it was a fair challenge.
Player, I am a qualified football referee and I know all the rules.
Me, o really? so what grade are you? I am a grade E referee, what about you?
Player, yea really, I am a grade E as well. (I am trying not to laugh here and tried to keep a straight face)
Me, First of all player there are no rules in football they are called laws, 2nd letter grades never exist and they are called levels that are numbers not letters. Now go back to playing football.
He gave me the guilty look to say crap he got me there. I felt good after that.
Didn't hear from him after that.
