Home GK with same kit as the away team

In a game today, the home goalkeeper had a nearly identical kit to the away team, it was agreed that he would wear a bib, but not without some dispute. Should the away team change their kit if there is a kit clash with the home goalkeeper?

Don't outfield kits take priority over keepers?

Regardless of league rules, surely it's easier and common sense for a keeper to change than an entire team?

Under any normal interpretation of the rules, the Home goalkeeper would be required to change his kit. There may be an issue if the Home Secretary had informed the Away of the goalkeeper colours when they did the pre-match notifications, but from knowledge - this never happens, except at finals.....

No big deal.

Get the bib on and just play.

Any doubts about the kit clash at corners etc - then here's a tip - the GK is the one who's trying to catch/punch the ball and he's wearing big gloves. ;):D

Not saying it makes it right, but it's noticeable that in top level games, this just doesn't seem to be an issue that they bother with. In fact there have been a number of threads started on exactly this topic.

Here's just one recent such example.
