I don't think it's impossible from this angle. You can't tell in real time...

It's either hit the stanchion (and therefore a goal) or it's hit the post. I've tried pausing it but can't get it exactly right...

I was there and it looked in, all the players thought it was in and you can tell the fans thought it was in, this is an image the photographer caught which seems to suggest it hit the stanchion and came out.

Are you seriously telling me that you can tell that was a goal in real time?
 
Unless you are absolutely sure you can't give it. given the position of the defenders the line would have been almost in line- so happy with the decision. Not concerned about replays, pictures or any other such post match analysis- the ref and line had one brief moment in time to assess it.
