The comments about scruffy referees at the end. Agree with all of them, but I am a bugger for the untucked shirt. Mostly because I am crazy tall.

is height an issue, here? i'm intrigued because, at 6'5" , my default position is usually an untucked shirt, too, in life, not just in refereeing

I think you might be onto something. - at 6 foot 6 a tucked in shirt looks odd! Looks better untucked!
