Hey guys and girls!
What are the advantages and disadvantages of registering with two different counties?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of registering with two different counties?
When I re-registered through WGS, there was a tick box asking if you want to register with another county as well as your parent county with a drop down list of available county FAs.
Correct. I was dual-registered, AFA & Hertfordshire. Rarely did AFA games (too far to travel and I hated the County!), but did numerous Herts ones. I lived in Herts, but did my original course through AFA, who wouldn't release me to Herts, so I found the best way round it.I assume it would open the door to county appointments in multiple areas (e.g. for county cups).
do you HAVE to be registered with the County that the competitions you officiate on are registered?
How would I go about registering with Herts (As my "2nd" county)?
I've never come across that as a requirement, no.
You should be able to register affiliate membership through your WGS account, although maybe only when you do your annual registration. I'm sure if you contact the county they could add you.
Welcome to the fold mate, great to have you on board!!I emailed Herts FA, apparently (I don't remember!) I DID request associate membership - RDO has approved - so all sorted!
