Not dissimilar to Jota's second yellow. Can understand why a certain team feels like all the decisions go against them.

Red for me for the first challenge. Second challenge is certainly a yellow. As @Runner-Ref suggests, there’s “managing the game” and then there’s keeping a player on the pitch who absolutely shouldn’t be there.

Michael Oliver was 4th official for the Tottenham v Liverpool game.
He was VAR for the Nottm Forest v Brentford game where he failed to spot, what a few have said to be, a penalty for Brentford for the foul by their keeper on the Brentford.
And now fails every grassroot referee in not giving a second yellow for Kovacic.

There’s your example of MO refereeing Man C v Arsenal ‘The Event’ instead of a football match. If this was Burnley v Luton that player would be sent off, second yellow by MO. Mindset needs looking at by PGMOL & HW.
