That's the easy part... What's the restart?

    Gloucestershire County Cup

If it's not playable, then call it off. Safety should always come before convenience, and it's a lot easier to justify a "soft" postponement than what it is to be explaining why you played on a pitch that was not fit, with resulting injuries in the game.

    England v Poland

Even during a pitch invasion I would be wanting to go off as a 3 (though at a much quicker pace!). There is safety in numbers as they say.

Course Passed - First Game this Weekend!

Good to hear, and you seem to have enjoyed it as well! Keep working at it, and don't let the spectators put you off your game - particularly in youth football they tend to get a little over-exuberant at the slightest of things.

Most stupidest reason for a card???

White attacking player concedes free kick in opposition (defensive) half. Very little time remaining, and the free kick would give the opposition a good opportunity to pump the ball into the box. I'm stood over the ball with both players, I'm not ready, defender is not ready. No problems. I...

    Headgear

If it is soft and woolly then no problem for me, not that I often see it. Would your opinion change for goalkeepers wearing caps due to sun?

what pen to use for write on wipe off cards

You will probably struggle to write with any form of ink in really bad weather. A common method is to put a strip of masking tape on the back of the card, and use a pencil to write on that (a small clip pencil works wonders for this).

    the new offside rule

Another vote for offside. For me, challenge is open to interpretation. I would say closing the ball down, applying pressure etc, for the purposes of an offside call is a challenge for the ball. I certainly know it's much easier to "sell" a flag in the scenario you mention, rather than a...

    coloured shirt

Academy refereeing is a "different ball game". Unless you're provided with the official coloured kit, then wear nothing but black. No matter what anyone says. If a team turns up in black, and has no change of kit, you don't play the game. Don't change shirts, don't wear a bib. It has the...

    Watches

I use a Garmin Forerunner 410, fantastic piece of kit as it's actually a running watch. Allows me to accurately overlay my positioning at any given moment in a game on top of a satellite image of the pitch itself. I can see also see how far I've run, and what pace etc, to get in (or not get...

    2014 / 15 Referee kit

Much prefer them to the Umbro ones! Maybe not in terms of design, but my Nike ones have survived the washer more than a dozen times (unlike every pair of Umbro shorts I've had).

    Junior/Youth Cards for kids

I'm inclined to agree Brian, I can probably count on my fingers the amount of cards that I've given out in junior games (U13-16). Almost without exception, the yellows are all dissent, and the reds are all VC.
