Which football boots should I buy?

Hi all,

I am a casual player of football, but I hope to begin playing on a weekly basis at the park with a real grass pitch.

I only one to buy one pair of boots. My nephew advised that I should get the AstroTurf boots, as I can allegedly wear them to play on hard surfaces such as concrete and real grass.

But, I am not sure if this is correct and if I should get the studded ones instead.

I have attached pics. I have purchased the AstroTurf boots and they're very comfortable. But, do you think I should return them? I only bought them 2 days ago, so I haven't used them yet.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you coming at this from an 'is it legal to wear these' standpoint? Or just asking for recommendations?

Are you a referee? If it's the latter above, and you're not, I'm a bit bemused as to why you'd ask a group of referees for a recommendation 😆

Astro boots are for specifically astro surfaces. Astros will wear out on concrete, and they will not provide as much grip as normal trainers. Astros on grass, don't bother you will slip and the boots will clog up.

Return the astros, swap for those moulds, those studs are for harder grass surfaces, they will also be far kinder to your feet on dry hard pitches.
