Televised FA Cup first round game, officiated by David Coote, Scott Oldham, Jason Whitely and Jeremy Simpson.

I officiated 2 u18s cup finals in may of this year on the near touchline.

Just putting it out there,, bit of a claim to fame, as much as ive ever had so far haha!

Saw one example of a defender getting an outstretched boot to a ball, the ball reaching an attacker in an offside position and the referee..........giving a free-kick for offside

one or two on here will have been a bit miffed by that, no doubt

If it's the one I remember then it's offside as the touch from the defender was clearly a deflection resulting from his attempt to challenge his opponent. There was less than a yard between attacker playing the ball through and the defender attempting his challenge.
