Referee NAR Briefing for Youth Academy Games: U13-U16 - Pre-match briefing with NARs for youth academy games.

Attached is my notes for every NAR briefing that I do before an academy game. These notes are fairly brief and include all the necessary info for new referees that have neutral ARs fairly early on in their refereeing journey. I made these myself after being an AR to experienced referees and these notes have never faulted me once. Use them if you feel they may help you!

My pre-match chat with captains at academy level is this: “I expect you, as captains, to manage the behaviour of your team. If that does not happen then I will be forced to use cards, which I don’t want to do. Make this a fair and enjoyable game for everyone please. Since your the away team, you can choose between heads or tails….”
