Pro game attendances

The Referee Store
City are Plastic fans indeed, only 3,007 fans watch them in 1998 in Division 3.... and then the oil sugar daddy turned up and all the Chavski fans became Citee fans...

Don't let facts get in the way of a good headline...but that was the autowindscreens shield. Filled maine road the majority of league games

Again with citee and chavski...I thought this was a referees forum and not a fans forum?

United have had higher crowds than City since 1947... even with Mansours Billions... you can't buy fans loyalty!!!
You averaged 28,261 that season, capacity was 35,150, hardly filling it is it!!! Bit like today really!!

They have a stadium that is 20,000 seats bigger...plus the capacity at maine road wasn't that much, it was extended with temporary stands a year or so later.

If you're really doing attendances who has the highest domestic attendance for a game not at Wembley?

Surely stadium sizes are based on success, supply and demand etc. Looks like City have the 4th highest domestic crowd in PL history, probably 5th when WH Lane is completed. Even your own manager doesn't think you are a Big Club!! :)

You weren't a big Club either paying us 300K for Gareth Taylor as you main striker in the 90s, we paid for his taxi!!!

true to some extent, but you have premier league clubs now with smaller grounds than league 1 clubs.

Liverpool and everton have smaller attendances currently, i'm sure both could fill bigger grounds if they had one. Otherclubs like villa have big grounds but don't fill them anymore

Sheff Utd took 75,000 away fans to The Crystal Palace National Stadium in 1901 for the FA Cup final v The Spuds, the official crowd was 110,280.... not too shabby that!!! Chelsea have had over 100,000 at home too...

On a side note, Spurs won that match in a replay, it was the last time a non-league club won the FA Cup....
