The Ref Stop

passed fitness test

Proper gutted. Even though I'm a L7 I did the fitness test tonight. 2.4k in 12min and 2 50m sprints each in 7.5seconds

I thought I had to run 2.5k before tonight so I've been training on the road for that. What a difference between road running and track running. Track so much easier. I managed 2.7k. Proper happy.

Then the bad bit. The sprits. I failed them. The instructor said I was just outside the time. I took that to mean I was about a second out. I didn't ask as I knew deep down I was slow.

So I need to improve my sprinting. Any ideas how??

Well I assumed it was for a L4. They were all academy refs looking to go for there L4 over the coming years.

I think this was there first test so maybe they dropped the distance and will increase it over the season.

Either way I still managed 2.7k but still proper gutted about the sprints
