He is entitled to an opinion, and the decision was harsh in the extreme. However, he should not be allowed to voice that opinion like this, so well done UEFA. If they had not taken this stance then any time one of us makes a blatant “mistake” the players would feel they were allowed to slate us like this. How often are you accused of being blatantly wrong, when you know you’re not? We don’t have video to show that actually there’s a reason for the decision even though you don’t agree with it.
I notice that UEFA have also explained why it was a penalty. I’d be interested to know if they’d have taken the same action if it wasn’t a justifiable decision!
Minor point perhaps but Neymar does not say in the tweet that, "it hits his back." That's a massively inaccurate translation. He actually says something more like, "How can the guy position his hand while his back is turned?"
