I was blown away by this interview when I saw in last weekend.
First of all he is so articulate for a footballer. Not the usual "er, um, er"
Secondly his defence of the referee stunned me.
Comes across as a top, top bloke.
Had a great game as well. But McManaman gave MoM to Pogba who was genuinely awful
Well done that man. Spoken like a true gent and we need more footballers to be like him. He is a role model to younger kids out there and they should look up to the way he speaks about referees. On a side note, why is the pundit attempting to make him say something bad about the referee? It is annoying and well done Antonio for not falling for the bait.
