Law change - player injuries

Had a couple of questions today about a law change and thought I would get some clarity from my colleagues on Refchat.

What is the law change regarding players leaving the fop after an injury?

Do you mean if the opponent was shown a card, the injured treated player can stay on?

A couple of players said to me today they watched a step 6 game, a player was injured after a tackle the physio came on but didn't get asked to leave the pitch. There was no mention of a card of any description

He can only stay if there's a card and the treatment is quick. Otherwise the old law still stands.

They may not have mentioned a card because they weren't aware that it was significant and, being focused on the fact that the player didn't leave the field, didn't really take note of it.

However if there was no card and it did not involve a goalkeeper or two players from the same side being treated after colliding, then the referee has made a mistake.
