Open Age "kick off has to go backwards ref!"

that was what i had from blue captain at what was the 7th kick off of the game yesterday.
Also, oddly, the red player that took the first one of the game asked if he could kick it forward.
It was both teams 3rd game of the season.
what made it more amusing was that the blue team had been taking kick offs as per last seasons laws anyway... two players in attendance and a little knock forward.

Question I've had a few times so far this season is "So can I score straight from kick off now?" - to which I now have the standard reply "Well, you're allowed to have a shot....I don't know if you'll be able to score though!"

ha yep had that a few times too, something in law that hasnt actually changed !
